I finally downloaded all that I was to and unzipped and checked to ensure my cdrw unit are support and still do not understand how to install the new aspi stuff. I fear this has become something way over my head.
I really appreciate the guidance and information given here. I have found this group to be so much more supportative than other places I have looked to.

unzip it all to an easy to remember directory
run the ms-dos prompt and go to the directory u unzip it all to if u r running windows 98, ME, NT & 2000 type in: install.bat x86 if u r running xp type in: install.bat xp32 then restart your pc and u should be set
