This is one of the hexa string my PAL patcher looks for.
Ikaruga doesn't contain it. |

Cheers Yod@
I'll try that out. I think I used Hedit before, so I'll have a look for it. Again Thanks...

![]() Another question: how do I make Ikaruga a non-boot disc to try with other boot discs (e.g. Utopia)? Do I have to copy all the files, unscramble the 1ST_READ.BIN and make an IP.BIN file? How do I get an IP.BIN file off the original self-boot image? Last edited by Yod@; 06-09-2002 at 13:01. |

You can take any ip.bin, but be sure "1st file read" is set to 1st_read.bin. I don't think you need to unscramble it. Just binhack it with LBA = 0.

OK, I had a go but it doesn't work - the Utopia disc reads it, then it changes to the screen with the spinning disc but it just hangs. I just noticed that the self-boot Ikaruga has 2 audio tracks before the data track - do I need to keep audio track 2 on the non-boot version?
Thanks Megalexxx. |

No you don't need to keep it. I don't think so.
But you need to have an ip.bin ! And binhack 1st_read.bin 0. That's all, I think. |
