For you guys who are caught up in the emulator argument. What I can say is that the OS and HARDWARE side of the x-box/pc specs are pretty similar but taking into consideration emulators always require a faster speed normally to run the games smoothly.
Lets get TECHNICAL>>> Lets calculate it out generally you need double the speed this is a recommended requirement emu spec, normally take and give a little but this is average so we are talking 733Mhz x2 = 1566Mhz today’s PC's we have 1800Mhz Clock speeds going on so really we have the tech to cope in this section next comes Graphics so we have G-Force nForce 415 chipset in the X-BOX motherboard or something close to that, so PC comes in with the Top Range G-force 4 example of this is a 128MB G-Force 4 Gainward 4600 yet again this is more than we need in hardware specs. So we meet all those requirements for the X-BOX emulator. So what NEXT>>> Well Programming side the X-BOX works in a similar version of OS as the PC, in fact (do not quote me on this) but I heard 2 sides first is that the X-BOX is based on a Windows 2000 OS the other says it is based on a Linux OS Regardless of if the system is Linux or Windows 2000 they are both compatible formats for the PC these systems are already largely available for PC anyway this suggests the to Create a Emulator should be no bigger deal creating it than any other emulator in fact this should be the easiest emulator to make out of all the consoles so it would not surprise me that someone is creating it and it will come out soon. When will it come OUT>>> Well I have no contact with anyone who is making one but on the creation process I estimate 7-9 months or sooner. So for you people who are waiting be patient and get a Good PC in the meanwhile. PsychoE Over and Out |
