me too can not do pesons saying it is over when they do not surport the site... i sent on fileand it did not get posted

also can not get my head around safedisk ( wot do i do?)

just want too back up my games so they run faster not access the cd every two minites if i was the one with a slow system i would never play the big games ( allot of slow down )

I sent them to [email protected]. One example was I sent in a no-cd to the game X-Com: Enforcer after someone in the forum here requested it, and it was never posted. I re-sent the same file and it was never posted. The same thing happened once before when I sent in a no-cd for another game (can't remember which) and it was never posted. I have had a few files go up, though, so I know the email address is right and I'm not being completely snubbed. ;-)

In most cases your EXE was not posted because it is already there! If a EXE is send in we compare them with the existing one(s), if it is the same then it's a bit useless to post it again.

But I have to admit that sometimes there are so many files & e-mails being send that some files are not posted... This is not on purpose as we will post anything that is not available!

As why there are no "similar" sites like ours, the answer is simple: Only a few people want to put 20-30 hours per week into a hobby like this.

There are a few sites doing the same but most won't last long as it eats up too much free time!

Just adding the files is just 25% of the time we put into GCW!!! Think of it, searching for files, checking if files are correct, if they don't exist already, reading e-mails (at least 50 a day...), getting new mirror sites, uploading everything to over 20 mirrors (that about 20x10 MB per update, not all mirrors are "FAST")...

So as it is most people just don't know what it takes to just be there, seen any FREE site lately who is doing a few terabytes per month?! Only our friends @ MegaGames do the same...

That's why we appriciate all the help we are getting from people like Dr Apocalypse (tnx again) as we can't have eyes everywhere!
