thank you for your answer.... but i think i'm missing something important....
Where is that conversion folder ? ... i mean, i know where i put the .bin, but how do i tell IC where to look at (i'm not using the internal compression, just the external....) I know this must be a really really dumb question.... i tried to put the .bin in the {app} folder, and told IC that the source were {app}\data1.bin, but nothing happened... just a setup.exe.... i feel so dumb.... |

{src} = where setup.exe is.
{app} = application folder, where your installed program/game will be installed in. I don't know much about IC, but maybe you have forgot to link .bin files in IC properly?

I know this is something of a noob question, but how can I change the button graphics to something else? I've been thinking of cobbling an installer with a UI similar to what Rockstar Games uses for GTA V and a couple others.

Hi guys, can you help me with these problems?
![]() The first image, prepare all the necessary resources for the installer and all OK. Icons like "Minimize" "Close" and the sound button. ![]() The second image, I checked the autorun and the image speaks for itself, there is also a flaw in the frame (in the editor it looks correct). |

razors installer creator icon doesnt change even when ico file is added in project
hi guys, i am playing around with razors conversion designer/installer creator and whenever i compile my project and specify an .ico file, it just shows the plain setup icon. am i doing something wrong or is this a bug with the program?
what size do the icons need to be, and do they need to be named Setup.ico? thanks in advance. -Kitsune |

hi guys, i figured out how to make custom icons work with latest installer creator, i was just wondering a few things.
1.is it possible to use custom fonts you have downloaded from a font site and installed, or was this disabled/removed in latest IC? i tried making an autorun and then when i clicked build it gave an infinite looping 'could not find ringbearer' the lord of the rings font i use for fantasy games then every time i located and clicked the ttf font, it kept saying 'could not find font' and forced me to alt-ctrl-delete and end the app in task manager because i couldnt get out of the looping error message. 2.is it possible to have IC go to a fullscreen installer window when installing, and when its doing the small installer is it possible to full screen the small installer like in the old 2.7 editions of razors IC? i know razor is retired and will not be updating this or any of his projects anymore, just was wondering if anyone could answer these questions. and as always, thanks razor for your projects, graphics studio was a life saver making transparent png images. -Kitsune 'the only dumb question is the one never asked.' |

nevermind about my questions guys, i fixed with a bit of testing.
heres what i did. 1.if you want to use your custom installed fonts with IC 3020 or 3100, go to your windows\fonts folder press ctrl-a to highlight all of them, right click on it and click copy or press ctrl-c. go to your IC 3020 or 3100 folder, go into system where you see the eurostile.ttf file, and press ctrl-v to paste all the fonts into the folder. then make your conversion and when you click build it will compile your project with the fonts you added DURING the project, not all the ones you just pasted in. then you can use your pretty fonts with the latest IC version!! 2.if you want a fullscreen during the small installer, you will first need to make sure your slides are in HD resolution. if you need to make HD resolution slides, you should check out irfanview. its an amazing free image editor that can batch converter/rename/resize images. heres a small tut how to make HD res slides. 1a.download irfanview and install it. 1b.open irfanview and go to the folder your slides are in. hint - i usually save all my game wallpaper slides in a folder marked slides and have all the game names in it in folders. to keep you all from having to spend hours making the folders and downloading the slides i will upload a 7z with my premade folders and images. 2a.go to the folder i uploaded and copy/paste the slides you downloaded - if any, or just use mine ^^ - into the temp folder for your game. 2b.click file then 'batch convert/rename' 3a. under 'work as' click on batch conversion - rename. in the dropdown choose jpg if making backgrounds or png if making small installer images. 3b.tick the 'use advance options for batch resize' click 'advanced' 4a.tick the 'resize' checkbox. untick the 'preserve aspect ratio' checkbox. 4b.click 'set size' radio button. under 'set one or both to sides to' width/height put 3200 and 1800 4c.click the 'use resample function - better quality' checkbox. 4c.click ok. 5a.under batch rename settings/name pattern put Image# 5b.under output directory for result files click use current 'look in' directory. 5c.click 'start batch'. there! now you have hd resolution images so you will now get a fullscreen with small installer! ^^ Cheers. -Kitsune |
