I wouldnt say short run since the same protection has been out there many months now.
What i dont understand is how did the SF team manage to make a protection that no cracking group can brake. Did they come from the future or something ?

I agree, I haven't defined the word "short" correctly. But it might be possible that some jury rules out Starforce, as a too invasive copy protection, and orders all publishers to release official updates for all their Starforce'd games, to remove the copy protection. Who knows?

(Damn, I woke up...!)

Does the Reloaded crack only work under XP? I've heard reports of it not being able to load KTGame.Dll and crashing under Win98, could someone with Win98 try the game if possible with the reloaded crack DVD and 1.2 patch and confirm this.

*EDIT* DOH! Just looked at the Spec, WinXP/2000! Teach me to post without checking

If that really happens, I'm the luckiest guy on earth...
All the Ubisoft games like SC 3, POP 3 and GTR & GT Legends without StarForce at all
It's too good to be(come) true

StarForce games losing money?!!!

Well, I have noted something rather interesting... StarForce protected games seem to drop in price more and faster than games with other types of protection! Just bought a NEW BOXED copy of BoS yesterday for less than $10!!! And I have been noticing MANY OTHER StarForce games are in the bargain bin now, while many OTHER games that have been out a LOT longer are still enjoying sales on the "regular" shelves!

Guess THAT will teach those game publishers who are using SF to get rid of it or start losing money!

Actually, when I bought the copy of BoS yesterday I didn't realize that it was SF persecuted... err, I mean protected!... or else I would probably have left it on the shelf, even at the reduced price. ...In fact, I will probably box it up and return it tomorrow if I can't find a decent no-cd crack for it! Just HATE the idea having to have SF on my system!

Maybe they just noticed the number of sold copies decreasing faster than expected. Seems like many people eventually start avoiding SF protected games
