Ikaruga and Dj4

Dear Megalexxx or anybody can help me, excuse my English I write from Italy, so...
I read a lot of faq about Dj4 setting to burn Dc cdi.
But there isn't a similar idea.
Everybody write different method, so I go crazy!
Please I need a complete setting method working.
I need to know if I need to select overburn option or cd+g or Raw or Mode 1 or 2, bytes and so......PLEASE
A second question is about Ikaruga, I tried to burn cdi file in many mode, but everytime game block in the blank sega logo.
Why?
I use a Dc pal with Rf unit.
I don't know if is a jap or pal version(50 or 60)?
The only thing that I know is an about autobooting game.
I try to open image with cdmage but Pc go crazy?????
Help me please.

You need a patch for Ikaruga.
Try PAL Patcher 1.1 ("PAL Protection 2").

I try your Pal Patcher, but I the faq write in the same page don't tell how I can do with the various patch.
I think that depend by my bad information about dc copy.
I can copy a Ps or Ps2 or Xbox game, but with Dc I'm weak.....
So please tell me more....
When I tried Pal Patcher, after select the cdi file(autoboot) and after select serch,
apper in the box "Pal protection 2"
After I select patch and the second time that i select serch apper "Pal protection 2 patched"
What mean exactly?
I did something wrong.....because I need to rest with "Pal protection 2".
Or is it right "pal protection 2 patched"?
After this I need to know if to start game (jap or Us) in my dc pal I need to select 50 to 60, or 60 t0 50.
Wath frequency is coorect?
My Tv is 100Hz and today I had buy a rgb scart cable but games don't start!

I can operate Ps2 like install messiah or Magic but dream cast it's new for me, excuse.

Megalexxx, I forget to tell you one thing.
I patched the ikaruga file with your Pal Patcher "Pal 2 protection"
but after I burn it with Dj4, it's don't work.
It's block at the same place...I'll send you the image.
Now I use Rgb cable and I try a 50hz tv.
I try to burn sonik2 and PuzzlFigh2X but game still block the same place!
Utopia boot, 1.1 and 1.2 version insted work!
But I don't have any non self booting file, so I can't use them.
I read something to remove echelon self booting, like your Ip program but nothing change in the game.
Because after burning the game rest self booting.
I read in this forum about your consideration, that maybe not important change 1_....bin.
But I don't understand why my dc pal still block in sega logo.
Help me, before I burn 10000000000 cd....

I burned my image of Ikaruga, in a 790Mb CD, because the image was 717Mb.
I didn't change any of the settings in DJ 3, only selected overburn.

Dear Tsubaru my cdi image of ikaruga is 677MB, so I try to burn of normal 700MB cd, but it's strange tath Sonik and Puzz have the same problem.
So I think that is something wrong in dj setting or my cd-rom Waitec Megalus don't supprot something?
I see that Dj write first the 2 music tracks and after the data track.
Same method for Nero.
I tried also with PIONEER 105, but same problem with blank seg logo.
I'm go crazy, do you think because my system is on IDE and no Scsi.
It's strange, but I don't have any idea.........
But no one in this forum had in past the same problem?
Other idea please......

What mean screen like jpg in attach?
Scart problem, 50 or 60hz problem or burning software error?
I see that a zip file of nrg game are very little.
Please some one can post me one nrg selfbooting file that certain works on dc pal.
Please is an idea.

I had problems burning Ikaruga with DJ4 also, so I tried using CDI2NERO, and burnt it first time! I think there are compatibility problems with DJ4 and some burners, and I thnk I must be unlucky enough to have one that DJ4 doesn't like!

DJ3 was far more reliable!

It's not just Ikaruga that DJ4 had problems with either!

hi! I have a little (stupid) question about burning Ikaruga... in fact I've got no problem in the burning process but I can't make the game work... when I put the CD, the Dreamcast acts like if it was a music CD... I'm certainly doing something wrong with DJ4 :'( but what? or maybe, my .cdi has a problem... I really don't know (and I'm not brilliant, I know : / )... can somebody help me, please??

I tried nero after first time Dj4 back up go wrong but problem still the same, so I think my Dc pal don't read cd with audio first and data second?Is it possible?

Oh yes I'm studing Dc world every second in these days.
But I had SAME PROBLEMMMMMMMMMMM......

Ushioetora : you're right. Some newer DC are "protected" and don't read audio/data format. To be sure, you might try to burn & boot Utopia boot disc. It's an audio/data CD...

In the past I`ve burnt a couple of images that apear to be audio CD's on my DC, and using the Utopia boot disk made no difference!

I reckon the images were created with DJ4 and I was burning with DJ3, because on the rare occasion when I got DJ4 to work, the disks self-booted no probs!

I still reckon DJ4 sucks tho!
