Why self-bbot games won't work on my DC?

Help please...I have downloaded some self-boot games, but when try to load it on my dreamcast, it will just run like a regular CD which didn't work...
Do I need Utopia's BootDisc? Which version is the best? Please let me know how to make it boot, thanks.

Either way you need a boot disk, get one from DC COPY WORLD.

If it's one of the newer DCs it won't boot selfboot games that have the audio track first. Extract the files from the cdi image using cdmage and use bin2boot to make the game selfbooting again (bin2boot burns the audio track last). Do this and you should endup with a working selfbooting game.
