Project Artemis: PS2 hacking system in development

For some time now, GSHI and select members of the scene have been working, in secret, on something tentatively called Project Artemis: a PS2 hacking system. To benefit from the knowledge of the entire scene, it's been moved to open source, and we can use all the help we can get. Details, and the original thread, can be found here: http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3153

Apologies to FileForums staff if this seems too advertisement...ish. I will, of course, submit to whatever forum rules there are in place, if I've broken any.

Anyway, feel free to drop by

Interesting.

But although its coming late in the life of the PS2 it should be interesting.

But looking at Datel who have managed to set up code caves etc using their ARP system, would suggest they have some way of debugging on the PS2 itself.

Thusly they must have had the ability to set breakpoints etc on Ring0.

Wether its as I said on the PS2 or via a link cable from PS2 to PC, I dont know but they must have something to do this. As does the codebreaker peeps.

Only thing that comes to mind is Sony gives out debug discs to developers who apply for one, or your PS2SDK maybe have something that could help.

Unfortunately these are just ideas and thoughts as im not heavy into the console hacking area.
