Orange Box Detonation Help and support needed

i have the The.Orange.Box-DETONATiON release but i cant play any games in it at all as all the games restart after loading of a new game
i can see the menu and all the options as well and can configure all the display setting but to no avail
Only Portal somehow got working thanks to a command line

is there a way i can do like this for Half life episode 2 ???

can someone plz help me if theres a way to play just Half life episode 2 and TF2 i have played the other games and will appreciate if i can play these two

My Pc configs are below

AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4000+
1GB RAM 667 MHZ
MOBO = ASUS M2AVM WITH 690G CHIPSET that is ATI radeoon x1250
and two hard disk one is 250 gb sata and and old 80 gb pata
dvd writer asus 18 x

i have played the other games and also cs source on this chipset and i think i can play ep 2 also plz help and i hope my chipset is not the cause of the restarts
