Does the Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 patch work for the Jap Version???

Hi all,
I have just patched and burnt another cd for Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 to fix the save bug. However, when it finished loading the Dreamcast intro, it goes back to the menu. I was wondering if that patch is ONLY for the US version of the game. If so, is there a patch out there for the jap version? By the way, the jap version is called "Shutokou Batte 2"....thanx to all
