WinXP Search Problem

Guys,

Please help
I sometimes search for stuff on a networked drive (short cut on desktop) and when i search for something, it doesn't find the file but i know its there, i have to physically open the program, go the long route to the locatoin and type in the file name and click open and it opens the file.

why does the search not find it?

this problem doens't happen alot, only sometimes and those 'sometimes' i can guarentee u the file is there...
it only started happening recently.

need to fix it thx.

Thanks!

Any other suggestions why it happens, please post guys!

Thanks!

The other PC perhaps has dodgy File and Print sharing settings enabled?

He probably would be best to disable all File and Print Sharing on computers then re-enable with default settings and work from there.
