Newbie help with mdf files

Hi there,

My first post.

I have Alcohol 120% and I have an mdf and mds file.

I mounted the mdf file and managed to burn a CD which worked the first time I ran it. I installed the game using the setup. The next time I tried to run the game using the shortcut and by clicking directly on the exe I am getting errors.



I was hoping someone may be able to explain what is wrong in simple terms.

Sorry to be a pain but I just found the solution in another thread.

I needed to run the exe in compatibility mode for NT.

Where you get the mdf and mds file from?

Well it was a mdf and an mds file and I now have a working disk so I assume it was a full image.

I'm new to downloading games so don't really know.

What I'd really like is to be able to play without the disk but I haven't sussed out how to do that yet using Alcohol 120%.
