Question New Hard Drive for Xbox Question

Hi,

I was thinking about upgrading my 120gb HD for a much bigger one.

What would be the easiest way to setup a blank HD onto my xbox and then transfering my other games to it?

Thanks for your help

question is what you want to have set up

for evo-x i'd recommend SLAYERS evo-x auto installer (google for it you should find it easily) which is a cd that sets up a hard disk together with ms dashboard and so on.

for transferring your games you need to save your games on your pc hard drive (or somewhere else) and then transfer it back to the new hd because you cannot build your old xbox hd into your pc and read the data of it.

Just like the guy above me said, use slayers auto installer or auto-installer deluxe, whichever one you want to format the new HD.

But before you do that you are going to have to back up your old hard drive first. You are going to want to Copy the E (for game saves) and the F (for your games) to your computer. If there is anything on G go ahead and back that up too. X,Y, and Z are all temp drives and there is no need to back them up. The only thing worth backing up on your C drive is the Trainer directory since pretty much everything else there gets replaced when you use Slayers installer.

When you do upgrade your HD and after you formatted it with slayers auto-installer, just copy back what you need. I wouldn't reccomend copying the entire F or E drives back to the xbox, just the individual folders for what you need like EDATA and UDATA for your saves, or the games/apps folder for that stuff. When your done copying back what you need, reboot the xbox and everything should work!
