Battlefield 2 Copy Protection [Valid Topic!]

<RANT>
<IN SHORT="Game will not work with CloneCD installed, must be removed from system">

Downloaded the game to see if it was worth buyin, of course it was so I went out and bought it.

Removed then installed again, said I wanted to go completely authentic first time round so unmounted the image and tried with the DVD in the drive.

Oh oh, no can do, the usual "CD/DVD Emulation Software blah blah", so removed Daemon, no workies, removed Alcohol, no workies, reinstalled both renaming drivers, nope, unistalled both, removed anything remotely linked to both and it still didnt work.

So, after much searching, I found someone had a problem with Pariah or something and the cause of his problem was CloneCD.
I removed CloneCD and Battlefield started working but OH MY GOD, what a complete waste of time.
Im sure there has to be some sort of legal implications for the game not to run for having a certain COMPLETELY LEGAL program installed and NOT EVEN RUNNING. I have no part of it running ever, nor have I ever, I tried killing every process on the machine bar explorer and that didnt do it so DigitalIllusions, sort it out please and stop giving me headaches.

P.S. Admin...This is not a rant about warez not working, if you actually read the passage I am telling you my completely legal copy, bought and installed from the original DVD owned and purchased by yours truly would not work with no other piece of any warez involved. It just would not run because I had CloneCD installed on the computer. The rant is about SecureRom and how it is removing all respect the games market used to have. How can you say "Sorry, incase you ever do use CloneCD we cannot let the game run simply becuse you have it installed."

Moral: Dont close valid topics?

The red text indicates why your last post was possibly closed! The CloneCD issue has been known for a while now! If you had of used the search button, before you first posted, you would have known this already! If you had of read the rules, before you first posted ,you would have known that any talk regarding warez is not supported on this forum!
Are you by chance a poet or writer ? Just wondering, your writing style is quite a shock to those of us who are used to illiterate warez kiddies going "OMG WT!F whErEz Da CRACKS !" all the time. You should bundle your signatures and get them published :D
Even if you bought the game after downloading and testing it, this is still illegal
If you want to see if a game is worth buying it you can get a demo of it, buy game magazine or play it at a friends home.
