::Spoiler Advisery:: SW: Kotor2 - i'm stuck now due to a bug

Hi,

I'm stuck in kotor 2. I'm at the point where i'm after visiting the sith lords planet and i'm suppose to go to dantooine now. However, when i try to get off the ship on dantooine, the game freezes up and its just pitch black. The curser is there however. I don't have a problem with going anywhere else. I haveto ctrl-alt-del and end program in order to quit the game. I then have to restart it over again. I'v tried going with 2 other people that was on dantooine before and i tried going alone. Nothing works, just a pitch black screen.

I am using a "no-cd crack" because my brother is using the cd that he bought. Plus its nice not having to deal with a cd anyway. That is probably the problem and maybe there is a better "no-cd crack" i can use.

Has anyone else ran into the "black screen of death (BSOD)" on dantooine? Did you find a way to solve that? and does the patch fix that?

well i updated my video drivers to the latest version and that did not help as i had hoped.

already bought the game - why should i have to buy 2 copies??? and don't tell me what to do. that's really annoying.

I am telling you to buy your 'own' copy of the game as you have already told us that you are using a Nocd crack because your brother is using the CD that 'he' bought!! So you wouldnt be buying 2 games as your brother was the one who bought the first one not you! Read the EULA, its states that you are not allowed to install one game onto 2 machines! That is what you and your brother have done!
And since you clearly have not read the forum rules I will tell you what I like as people like yourself annoy the crap out of many members here!

ok this place sucks i will look elsewhere. But it looks like the bug isn't even related to the cd crack and the patch wouldn't fix it either.

He is correct, that is the laws of software, you are stealing even when its your own brother who bought it for himself.

Since you dont own the game legit, you are by law stealing it and you could face prosecution.
