Call of Duty on DVD
I've been going through a phase of making DVD compilations of some of my games, thanks in a large part to the tutorials on here.
However today I've been trying to do Call of Duty and I'm stuck. I want both Call of Duty and the United Offensive expansion pack on the same DVD. UO is no problem, its got an MSI install file that i've edited to run both disks from D:\CoDUO and it installs fine using the menu I've made in VB6. The problem is with Call of Duty itself. From what i can tell it checks the name of the disk. Naming it CoD means it installs as far as asking for CD2 and sticks there. Naming it CoD2 means it gets past that bit - but of course gets stuck at the end of the installation when it asks for CD1. Obviously I can't name the DVD CoD1 and CoD2 at the same time, so something needs to be changed. Problem is, I don't know what or where. The install file appears to be one called Setup.exe - i assume this file is running the show and that it is the one responsible for calling for the different CDs. I've had a look at it in a hex editor but don't have a clue where to start changing things. Anyone good at this sort of thing? Anyone else working on Call of Duty? Know any programs i can use to edit this install file? Any help at all? Please let me know ![]() ________ Jaguar Mark V picture Last edited by reddragon105; 30-01-2011 at 04:38. |
