Swap Trick
Can I perform the Swap Trick with my Gameshark? I have a Gameshark v2.3(by InterAct not MadCatz).

yes.
load with out codes, or with the codes for the game. most game sharks use this method when it asks you to take out the game shark disc and put in a black bottom you do so. using any black disc! Then the disc will read for a moment, when it spins fast thats the moment you swap, make sure its the moment the disc picks up speed. Then it should work. If not the study the behavior of your game shark when it loads a game, and try some stuff out, its not hard to learn what works if you sit down for 20 mins and experiment.
