HP Movie Writer - any good?
Hi,
I'm a compete novice - any advice would be greatly appreciated! Basically I am looking to transfer analog and digital video to my pc then edit it to my liking and burn it onto dvd. As far as I understand so far I need a capturing device - to capture analog video and a dvd writer. HP dc5000 movie writer (HP dc5000 movie writer ) seems to offer an all-in-one solution where it will capture my videos and then burn them on to a dvd. It seems a sensible solution but I wouldn't want to sacrifice the quality of my videos and would rather go for a separate movie box for capturing if that's a better option. Has anyone used one of those and can you comment on its performance? Also is it a real all-in-one or will I need other bits and pieces to connect everything together? Many thanks for your help again. katsur |

If you already own a burner you could just get a card for like 25 bucks that would enable you to do the same things with your current dvd bruner at www.geeks.com
