i backed up max payne 2 but...... :( HELP!!! :) please

after backing up max payne 2 and applying several patches and no cd patches max payne loads up with this error..

Exception in engineInit:Unable to load save game "Files\Rockstar". File does not exist or it is not a valid savegame file.

please help me im frustrated (

Hey royced,

There might be a version conflict between the game and the savegame, i.e. the game being used has a different version number than the game that created that savegame. Also, does the same version of the game _without_ the no-CD patch load the savegame?

fixed it awes :)

thanx for your help joe son, but i found that loading the game from the play cd (launch.exe) started it
