One of Those "Other" Questions...

This is probably not the right place to post this question, but here goes.

I'm upgrading the TV in my room to a better one (the current one is monoaural, with a slightly wonky screen) , and I'm undecided between these two models:

29" JVC AV-F29MX3 (conventional screen, S-Video, Eco Sensor, etc.)

OR

21" Phillips RealFlat 21PT3324/69S (flat screen, S-Video + component input)

My point is, I'm not sure which would be more suitable for gaming inside a bedroom. A friend suggested that I should go for the JVC because screen distortion of a conventional TV wouldn't a problem for me, since I'd be sitting right in middle of the TV's screen. Plus, it's a 29" TV--relatively big for bedroom viewing

On the other hand, the Phillips 21" TV, IS new technology (latest model, according to the store manager).

Sorry for posting an off-topic question, but I really need help here.

Thanks!
