No-CD help please!

I'm trying to use a no-CD crack for Halo, and I don't know what to do to install the crack. I don't want to do anything yet (I've downloaded the crack) for fear of fatally altering the main Halo.exe file. Someone please give me more detailed instructions!

You'll need WinRar to extract the crack.
Go to the folder you installed Halo. Rename halo.exe to halo.exe.bak or something like that. Now extract the crack in the same place the original halo.exe is.
If you want to update (patch) the game you can still use the halo.exe.bak file. Just rename to halo.exe
If you install a patch and downloaded a crack just do the same thing....
