Battle field vietnam problem

ive downloaded the bf vietnam patch it is called Tecbfv.rar and i opened it, and i go to use the patch and it says : "couldnt found BFVIETNAM.EXE" and ive looked thru all these threads for help, but unsuccsseful, so can anyone help me, and please explain fully wat your talkin about coz ive seen guys goin on about cd images and stuff and mounting, and i have no idea wat that means, so can u give me sum website links or sumthin so i can play bfv without the disc
