problems with bf1942 no-cd download

I downloaded the bf1942 no-cd file for 1.6.19 from gamecopyworld.com, but when I put the .dll files in my /mods/bf1942, /mods/xpack1, /mods/xpack2 folders and I put the other files in my main directory, BF42 won't load any more. When I replace the files with the original ones, bf runs fine, but I still need a CD. Am I putting the files in the wrong place?

Oh, I'm not using this to put bf42 on more than one comp. first off, i think that's wrong to do, and second I only have 1 comp that can run bf42. I just want to do this so that I don't need to find my bf1942 CD each time I want to play

Lots of people are having problems with BF1942 if they have been patching and applying cracks for those patches all the way along.

I recommend uninstalling and re-installing from scratch. Patch all the way up to 1.6 without using any cracks and then apply just the 1.6 crack. The 1.6 crack is much different than the others.

You can try going through and deleting all the old files from previous cracks and see if that works. But I just did the uninstall/reinstall/crack-at-the-end thing and it has worked fine for me and many people.
