I dont believe Mr. Aussie Bob has read up on everything. His system may work fine with labels but Ive read where a lot of ps2s have problems reading after having put lables on the games.
When the game was tested as working before the label and then tested after the label it didnt work. You may want to consider. Your personal ps2 may work fine but then again it may not. Tyler!

I have copy the tetris game I own and I desided to take the time to put a lable on it. Well it was fine for a few days and then the lable started to bubble, and started to come off a little bit, and that can cause the cd to get un-ballanced. That can even damage your ps2 over time. So I had to make another copy of my game, to have it work again. Also when the cd is un-ballanced it puts stress on the laser trying to keep up reading it as the data goes up and down the it un-ballanced.
You can only make 1 copy of a game you already own first. |

I have labels some DVD-R with success..
but if you do it then make sure there is no fingerprints or anything like that...if there is then it probably will start to bubble... Just to be saft, just use a marker.... Always a risk to use labels..

best to get a label printer that prints direct onto the disc
if you use a sticky backed label you will never get it perfectly in the center so the disc will be slightly unbalanced this will over time creat a slight wobble when spinning thus causing poss read errors |

I've used CD Stomper Labels for years and have not had any problems at all whatever the application.
Always use the correct label applicator and make sure all the air bubbles are smoothed out, just like hanging wallpaper really!!! |

The black markers aren't labels.....JUST take your big fat black marker and scribble what ever the heck it is right on the CD/DVD. I use to do my PSX games with labels as well but over time they are guarantied to peal and oddly the ones with labels over time seamed to not work well. Just my input but its not hard to read my own righting.:cough: well some times it is

There u go dude. Why take the risk. Why introduce another factor that can potentially ruin ur games. Disc pen all the way....

I had an idea for labelling CD's I'm going to try sometime. You print out the CD label on photo paper as a mirror image. Then cover the CD with spray adhesive contact cement and place it down on the photo paper image. Rub in good so makes contact everywhere, let dry, trim and soak in water until you can peel the paper off easy. If done right the ink will be left on the CD like a silk screen. As long as the adhesive doesn't react to the reflective surface, should be fine.
