NEWBIE TO PS2: any site to find info?

I come from the xbox form, I am helping a friend backup his ps2 games,

I have searched this forum and found little on no-modchip stuff.

can anyone point me in the right direction for ps2 no modchip information?

there is only 2 no mod chip ways of playing backups first is a slide card which pulls ur cd door open by force then putting in the swap magic disk and pushing shut which in time will tear the door up to not working at all the 2nd is a lil safer its a flip top lid which lets u put the game from a door made on the top of the ps2 kinda like a ps1 door also useing swap magic disk and the mod chip ways u can get a no solder very easy to install and uses swap magic the best out of the 3 opitions or u can get a solder chip and pay some one to solder it in these work the best out of ever thing u can ask the members here they know peps who can solder and also sells the chips

The reason you rarely see any info on these types of mods is because they are more hassle in the long run than they are worth. Once you have a Messiah 2 your problems become minimal.

I would recommend to use a modchip.
That way you wont risk to damage your PS2.
