Another question....I have a refurb unit that I just bought. I have not opened it up yet to check the board but the MFG date is Aug 2001. Does this mean it has to be a V1.0?

Although, you might still want to open up and check. Since it's refurbashed, they may have just used another box to put it in. Around where I live, they sell all used xbox's, refurbashed or not, in a wierd plastic wrap thingy if the original box was brought back. So it may be different where you live.

Mine is actually in a box that is exactly the same as the original except it has White bars around it with the word Refurbished.

I am going to put a X2 Lite+ in it so I will make sure of the version when I set it.
