I guess I should say I'm new here since this is my first post
...Ok my problem is I'm trying to patch a copy of Dance Dance Revolution 2nd mix with a .xps patch...I pull open my MS-DOS properties and insert on the command prompt line C:\XPS DDR2nd.xps DDR2nd.img, apply, ok then I bring up the DOS window and the commands follow out: opening xps file...complete opening iso file...complete searching for system.cnf...failed Does anyone have any advice on how to get the file successfully patched and what method I'm going about wrong to do it? I have tried the file in .ccd, .iso. and .bin and all of them come back with the same results >_<...any suggestions? BCDraven Last edited by BCDraven; 29-08-2003 at 10:14. |

hmmm...anyones advice on this would be greatly appreciated
...has anyone ever patched with a .xps patch before? I assume what I need to know is how to get the DOS command prompt to find the system.cnf so it can get past that part of it...if anyone has used .xps patches before can you tell me the method you used to get the patch applied successfully?

presumably you got the patch in a zip file or something, e-mail the whole lot to me [email protected] and I will see if I can make out exactly what to do

I think you need to make the backup image file using Goldenhawk's CDRWin and then use -
C:\XPS DDR2nd.xps DDR2nd.bin |

Re: .XPS patching problem
Quote:
As blackdiamond has said, for these type of patches CDRWin is normally used to create a *.bin file. Then copy the patch into the same working directory e.g. C:\GAMES So in the GAMES\ directory you will have: - binfile.bin cuefile.cue patchfile.xps Then open up your MS DOS command prompt, change directory to GAMES cd c:\GAMES then apply the patch patchfile.xps binfile.bin Hope that this is of some help ![]() Let us know how you get on
