No Controller/Sound

i've just put in a new fuse for the ps14 on a GH-022 motherboard with a magic 3 chip. When i turn on, the ps2 doesn't play any sound on the browser screen but plays it when the ps2 logo pops up. The game won't go any further than the ps2 logo. The controller and most likely the controller port won't work, but when i press the analog button, there's red light which tells me there's power to it. What could be the problem?
