PS2 Problem

I have a new problem... in the middle of a game my screen goes blank and my ps2 reset button flashes(red)very fast resetting my whole game(i guess losing power putting it in standby mode)what could be the problem.....btw bill installed my mod chip and installed a new laser and changed the disk spin motor....now what could be my problem?

Sounds like overheating. When yr ps2 just resets itself for no reason then that usually the problem.

Open up, check yr fan running at full speed, get rid of gunk on fan, give PS2 a good dust out, check that there's no wire,insulation tape etc blocking fan air route to motherboard etc.

I think i found the problem is the fan on the ps2 suppose to be running continously whlie the ps2 is powered on if so then my fan isnt running at all actually therefor overheating the system....any ideas on how i would try to fix this?

I would say that there are three things to check.

1. That the fan is plugged in.

2. that none of the fan wires got cut when the PS2 was put back together.(they are very fine and snag easily)

3. There is a fuse that controls the fan motor. If you have a continuity meter you can check that out. I have noticed that they do not show perfect continuity, but somewhere along the lines of .5 ohms. You can find a fuse guide here .

might try another fan

1st of all u can get another fan there very ez to install i think u can check on mod sites they might sell fans im not for sure though and if the new fan wont work must not be getting power from main board to fan and that i dont know nothing about

ill look into those options guys ...thanks..right now im playin my ps2 with the lid off and a small fan i have cooling the motherboard =)
