Hi all.
I have a scph 30003R ps2, a usb neokey s-box chip + a pnp stealth no solder v5/v6 with AR2 v2.12. I have problems loading dvd'r. I have tried all the booting instruction and nothing. I managed to load a dvd backup only once by using DMC & when updating list & pressing x + eject at the same time. After that I can't load it again. . Tried again & again..... nothing Any ideas? Cheers (Please do not use caps in future posts. Thanks) Last edited by bighap; 22-03-2003 at 11:20. |

I started out with that same combo except on a V4. I used DMC as my first swap and it worked fine....for a while. Then all of a sudden I couldn't boot DVD-R anymore. I almost spent a lot of money to replace the laser. Instead I thought I would try a set of Swap Magic disc's that my friend had. They booted every game I have no problems. I know there are some issues on them booting RIPS and some large TOC games but I have not had a problem booting all including GTA Vice City. I don't even use the NEO Key at all. You will hear mixed reactions on these disc's. All I know is that it solved my problem. If you are looking for a cheap possible solution it might be worth a try. If you got the money, get a Messiah 2 installed. Hope that helps.

I am not an expert, but I do know the Neo brand mod chips are hard on the laser because it sends an "extra" charge to laser itself. Since Neo Key only boots CD-R's I would think you would be better with DVD-R's.
