Looking for an easy to use and powerful DVD Authoring Software

I tried a few of the demo but somehow they always want to reencode the MPEG File again. I had it from the firewire Camcorder and converted it to DVD MPEGII format but when I import it in [about 90% of the authoring softwares] It always want to reencode the MPEG file again thus taking around 30-40 hours more.. Advise help ?
