Replacing .exe File

Can anyone tell me how to replace a .exe file
I have FIFA 2003 and have made a back up copy. To use this copy I have downloaded a crack file which I am told must replace the original FIFA.exe file.
How do I do it?

replace means you have to copy the cracked exe file(s) to your games directory.
A dialog will pop up and asks if you want to replace the existing exe. choose yes

What is the games directory.
I am running w 2000 Professional.
The crack file is on my desktop.
I have tried adding it ti the FIFA folder without success.

its going to be something along of the lines of
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Fifa 2003 (Not to sure about this, cant be bothered to reinstall the game to find out)

You need to copy that crack into that Fifa 2003 folder. As cdkiller said, you will be prompted that a file already exists with that fifa2003.exe filename, do you want to replace it? well of course you do.

The EAsports folder contains another folder called fifa2003.
(Within the fifa 2003 folder there are two fifa 2003 icons)
The downloaded folder is called grufifa2k3cd. I dragged the GRUFIFA2k3cd into the fifa folder and no messages appear. The gruf.... folder then appears within the fifa folder.
If I drag the GRUF... folder into the icon within the fifa2003 folder likewise no message and the game requires disk2.

When trying to open the grufifa crack folder I am asked open with?
I used notepad and it opens showing
Rar! .....
I assume I copy everything from the Rar ! to the end
and paste it into fifa 2003 folder (this is the first folder inside EA sports.
not the icon inside the fifa folder.
Appreciate your help.
