booting timesplitters 2 (dvd-r)

i have a neo 4.5 installed on my ps2 v4. and after many dvd-r games, i have come across a game that cannot boot. i do my swap method with my DMC that came with resident evil- code veronica to all of my dvd-r games. i burned timesplitters just like i've been burning all of my other games. when i swap my timesplitters in the browse screen, i can hear my laser trying to read the game and after a few tries the laser stops and the screen goes back to the browse screen. my theory is that maybe timesplitters has a bigger TOC file than DMC, maybe just by 1mb or so. cause i've seen the TOC list and DMC is 4.37 and so is timesplitters, but maybe timesplitters has a few mb more? let me know what u people think is the problem

How long have you had your neo chip? It could be that your laser is on the way out thanks to the neo. Is this the only game that is giving you problems?

i've had my neo...i'd say about 8 months or so. and i just cleaned my ps2 inside and out thoroughly. this is the only game that is giving me problems. i can load all of my dvd-r games except this one. so maybe i am right about timesplitters having a slightly(just by a hair) larger toc file. all of my other dvd-r games boot flawless..everytime ...all the time.

I think DMC is bigger but try putting both games in your dvd drive and check out the exact size of each.

when i loaded DMC on recordnow max it said 4,481.09mb and when i loaded up timesplitters it didnt do anything as if it were frozen. so i tried another dvd-r games and those were read by recordnow max perfectly. i guess it was a bad burn even though i dont seem how that could be cause i burn them all the same way.

i burned the game again using 1x mode and it worked..i guess using 2x mode has a risk when using recordnow max. i have noticed once in a blue moon on mine that it will say job completed successfully when it was burning process was at 88%. but when i burn at 1x, i never ever get that wierd response. im gonna try nero to burn some ps2 games and see how that works at 2x. i might leave recordnow max just for my movies and nero just for my ps2 games

RecordNow Max should be fine at 2x. I get the same thing where it is only 80 some odd percent done then it says complete, but the burn is perfect.

im going to run some tests using these two programs for ps2
dvd-r games and if i see that nero has a better outcome then i will leave my ps2 games to nero and my movies to recordnow max.
