.ace?

Hello!!!

I've downloaded a no-cd fix for a game.

According to instructions, I pasted the .ace file into the folder where the .exe file for that game is, and double-clicked. Problem is, the extension is not recognized by windows, and won't open.

Can anyone tell me which or what program I need to open the file? I suspect that I may need something called winace, since thewebsite I downloaded it from mention I'd need it to unzip the file.

But it doesn't look like a zip file to me...

Any advice, please?
