trouble loading evox

all i seem to get is disc is not recognized, enigmah chip installed, and wrote iso file evox to cdrw, but i can install it on xbox. does xbox need to be connected to network before evox will boot? ive had problem on every step of the way with this thing. i get the original dashboard for xbox, but cant get the copy of evox to boot. before i had blank screen but forgot to solder jumper on chip, after i soldered it xbox original boot screen came up, so im assuming i installed the rest of the chip correctly.


a question aside from that, once i do get evo to boot, every time i want to acess a game save to the xbox, do i ineed to load up with evox first? or does it get saved to harddrive. not sure what i do with evox after i have booted up with it the first time.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, CANT GET EVOX TO BOOT , SAYS UNRECOGNIZED, BURNED ISO FILE TO CDRW, AND WONT DO ANYTHING. I CAN PLAY MOVIES ON MY XBOX, SO IM PRETTY SURE CHIP IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG. SHOULD THERE BE OTHER FILES ON THE DISC, I BURNED IT IN DATA MODE, AND DOES THE XBOX HAVE TO BE HOOKED UP TO PC IN ORDER TO LOAD?

Your modchip might not work. Use nero to burn the iso. If that doesn't work, then you should recheck your soldering points.

as for the game copy thingy: You put evoX on the HDD and replace what boots up, to evoX. Then you just turn on your xbox with the tray opened, wait for evoX to boot, and then put a game it.

Burn Evox on a decent brand of DVD-R media, i.e. Verbatim or Traxdata, then you should be okay as i had the same problem like you when i burnt the Iso to a Cd-rw disc.
