Urgent help needed with copying

What am I doing wrong, I have made a copy of the GTA3 Install disc and it works perfectly but I am trying to copy the play disc now but it wont work, whenever I have made a copy of it and go to play the game it starts loading up then comes up with a message saying please eject the disc then put it back in and try launching the application again. (something along those lines). I have been reading at 4x then writing at max, these are the stats clonecd gives me about my burner..
