Raw-Dao
my dvdrw supports both raw-dao and sub channel data reading, but when i use nero or clonecd to make a 1:1 copy of any safedisc, or safedisc 2 game, it spits out lots of errors and just doesnt work?
im using a philips dvdrw208 (i think) and it doesnt work, are there any special settings i need or special programs for recording (i want to make 1:1 copies of games, i dont want to emulate them) that i need to set? |

those errors between sector 800 and 10000 are normal: it's a part of the safedisc protection. you can ignore them.
use CloneCD to copy them. Nero cannot make working copies of Safedisc protected cd's. to read the cd: enable 'fast error skip' to write the image: enable 'amplify weak sectors' for titles protected with SD 2.51 or higher, since the Philips burners cannot correct EFM encoding - check http://elby.ch/english/products/clon...p.html#philips use the Search function on this forum to find more information. |

yep, blindread/blindwrite should do it too.
the time to read a sd 1/2 protected cd is hardware dependant. some drives need only 5 minutes, some others 3 hours... |

my philips pcrw2010 reads most safedisc games in exactly as long it would take it to read a non-safedisc game. clonecd is the only program u need.
