I've read through the forums about patches, pal/ntsc, images, etc..., but none I don't understand what is needed for a copy. I have chrono cross but I want to make a copy of it. I did a cd to cd copy with nero but it didn't work. I've got ppf o matic, but I can't find ppf patches.
Do I need to use a pal/ntsc program like pal4u even though the game is from the same country? Do I have to find a ppf patch? Do I need a mod chip to play copied games. If someone could help me it would be great. thanks |

It all depends..No offense but when you ask a question "Do I need a modchip to play backups" is like asking can you drive a car without key? Of course you can but hassle is too much..
Also use Clone CD for PS1 and PS2 CD format games.. Or use CDrwin but CloneCD is better. If you live in the US you do not need to patch the game..But if live in UK or Europe then you need to convert it from NTSC to PAL. Or if you got PAL version living in the US then vice versa.. Research it in this forum through older threads.. This question gets answered trillion times a day..
