audio level problem

ok here's what i did
ripped a movie using SmartRipper, ripped only the video and 1 soundtrack (5.1 english) + ifo files, ripped it as one file and spilt the video and audio. the video file was .m2v and the audio was .ac3

used rempeg to make the video fit onto a single dvdr

then used spruceup to compile the dvd. which left the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS plus the neccessary vob and ifo files in the video dir.

used ifoedit to fix the ifo file to the exact same movie spec as the original.

burnt to to dvdrw (as a test) using RecordNow MAX.

everything worked wonderfully with the exeption being the audio seemed to have a lower volume than the original.

Has anybody else encountered this little problem? Is there something that i can do to remaster the soundtrack?
