how do i give my xbox a static ip

I want to give my xbox a static ip so that it does not change everytime i reboot the xbox.

boot up evoX on a cd. Go to "network". In there, the should be a set of numbers where you can put the static IP. (says static IP right next to them.)

I have tried that and when i reboot it is still there but the IP changes at the top everytime, so i cannot use the IP that i have set ?

did you use evoX on a cd-rw, or the evoX dashboard? I dunno if it matters if you use the dashboard or cd, but I used the cd and it worked fine. EvoX saves to the harddrive.

Using the xbox original dash, browse your saves. Do you see a save data from evo x?

No there is no save data from evox in my savegame data, I'm running ovex from the harddrive

try booting from the cd. It should save it.

I tried it with the dash, it seems to only work with the cd. It should make a save called "Remote X" on the harddrive.
