how to do no-cd patches

This is my first attempt at doing a no-cd patch for a game(jedi knight 2) and it's not going to well.I downloaded the jk2 single player and multiplayer pack and they have been extracted and now what?I don't know what to do and am not to good at this sorta thing.Please help i want to know how

Download the NO-CD crack from GCW and follow the instructions that come with it.

If no instructions then it's usually just drop the cracked *.exe into the directory where the game is installed.
