Program INSEKTOR causing cdrom drive to malfunction in W2K! Plz Help
Hi, I tried installing this program called, INSEKTORs, in W2K Pro. CD-Rom drive was working fine b4 the installation. The problem came up when I uninstalled INSEKTOR because it wasnt working for me. After I uninstalled it, my CDROM drive no longer shows up anywhere. I chked the Device Manager, and it says problem loading the drivers for it. I tried uninstalling the cdrom driver and W2K detected the cdrom and reinstalled the drivers for it successfully. But it is still not loading up the drivers though. So right now, my cdrom drive is not working. Wondering if ne1 might have an idea on how can I go bout fixing this problem. Thanks in advance.

i got my cdrom working again by installing the insektor driver again and leaving it on. i want to get my cdrom working again with out these insektors driver or reinstalling windows can anyone help?

No idea how to fix. No one replied with a fix. I ended up reinstalling the OS. Oh well
