A patch for 376 Broken Sword(usa)(jcreaz)

Hi all... I was so happy yesterday for downloading the gba rom no. 376 called Broken Sword. I loaded it on the flash card and turned my gba on to find out I couldn't start the game as it read this message on the gba display: error writing eeprom data tag.. Can anybody tell me how to fix it? Any patches available for broken sword? Pity I couldn't play it... Could some of you do that?
