HP 9100 & 90 minutes cd-r
I try to burn a svcd with Nero ( and VCDEasy / CDRWin) on a 90 minutes ( 800 Mb) CD-R, but the media isn't recognized....it's reading the CD-R as if it was a 80 minutes/700MB disc....
Can I solve this problem or has it to do with my writer...should a new writer be able to recognize them..?? |

i think its an error with HP's, they dont go past 80. also, 80 minute cd's are 800mb when ur talking about svcd's.

This file is 885 Mb. big. I encoded it to fit on a 90 minutes
CD-R...so with another writer f.e. a LiteOn it will be possible....!? |

I tried that and I can overburn, but after 94% I get a buffer under run message and the burningproces is terminated...when I look on my standalone DVD I have an hour movie in stead of 68 minutes on the SVCD...
The problem remains that Nero doesn't recognize the CD-R as a 90 minutes CD-R, but tells me it is an 80 minutes one... With another writer f.e. an LiteOn, does Nero recognize a 90 minutes CD..???? |

ugh - are you burning in disc at once mode? because nero cant overburn without it. it will only burn 80 minutes in TAO. regardless of how big the media is. right click the layout, set it to no multisession, and then, under the burn tab - select disc at once. this should make it overburn just fine.
