if i copy game using my dvd writer will i still need 2 chip my ps2 2 make it work work or will it just work because its done on dvd

No it won't, just because it's burnt on a dvd-r don't make it legit,you need the mod-chip,because the ps2 can detect copies of games the mod-chip over rides the detection and bios.
