Question I need help backing up Heroes IV

I've got a liteon 24x (24102b I think) and I haven't been able to make a working copy of Heroes of might and magic IV. I've tried cloneCD with the safedisc2 options checked. I tried blindwite too with the same effect. Anybody successfully copied this?

I didn't see any patches for heroes 4. Everything for 2 and 3 but I didn't see any for 4. Could you post a link to it?

Unless the game is protected with Tages or Starforce, then you will be able to copy it with your Lite-on

Download Clony XXL to get the settings for Clone CD.

Also remember to enable Hide CD-R Media in the Clone CD Tray if playing from a burner.

to make a backup of heroes 4 you just have to insert the original cd in the drive , go in the cd directory select everything then put it in your hard drive, then make a copy of it

of course when you try installing afterwards it will ask you for the original cd, but don't worry just apply the patch and you're good to go
thats what i did and it works fine

Here we go again....

This isn't a perfect copy - which is what most of us want as it makes life a lot easier when updating and is also just better

Damn right. See CD Media World for instructions and whether your burner is able to do 1:1 copies. If you have problems post at the CD Media World Forum. Theres also an up to date list of good burners there.
