I'm looking for the best safedisc 2 emulator out there to allow me to play my backups. I'm a little wary of putting one on my computer, so I came here to ask what is the best. I've always heard of daemon tools, but I was wondering if it's a clean program.
Does it eat up a lot of resources while it's running? Is it able to be fully uninstalled? Does it install anything else on my machine? Does it have to be running to be able to play a backed up safedisc v2 game? When I close it, does it still run in the background without my knowing? Thanks for the help. |

What's this virtual cd drive? If I decide to uninstall Daemon Tools at a later date, will the virtual cd drive still be on my machine, or will it mess up my real cd drives in any way?

its a virtual cd drive. it makes ur computer think there is another cd drive there, and u can mount images to those drives and play as if the image is a cd.
you can add and remove them at will. hell, u could probably add a few drives w/out daemon tools if u knew windows well enough
