Bullshit! I use the "Ps-x-change 2" boot cd and clone cd to make my backups, and ive never had a bad copy. and i dont have a mod chip installed either. http://www.psxdepot.com/ has pretty good prices on boot cds and external mod chips and free shiping too.

yes, a original psx- change boot cd will play backups without a modchip, but a cdr backup of a psx-change will not.
