Well, for one I don't know how I could explain my error any more. When I install from my copy of the Cd a little more than halfway through the installation stops, tells me there was a problem installing F:\Flashpoint\DTA\HWTL\Data.pbo.
I will try the idea you had, and also how do I check to see if my copy is clean? Thanks a lot for your time. |

Oh!!!!!!!!! I am sorry. LOL. I am not blonde. Ok I checked the Cdr and there is no dirt, greese, finger marks on there. (I wiped it off anywase) and I am still having the problem. I still want a perfect 1:1 copy, but I was also wondering on my brothers computer he installed it from the original (he stole my disc) and when i took it back he just installed the no cd crack the .exe from gamecopyworld. I checked it out myself to see if it worked well, but with the nocd crack he has no floor just a white abyss. would there be a way to fix this? Thanks for all your help. PS. the cdcrack question isn't very important. I am more interested in finding out how to make a perfect 1:1 copy. Thanks a lot
(I checked my original copy to see if I could install it and has the same error how do I fix this?)PSS: I can't find the desired file on the CD liek you suggested (to directly copy on my HD) Gamer17 Last edited by gamer17; 11-03-2002 at 19:36. |

ok heres an update. I still can't get the CD to install and I went to the start menu, find, and searched for Data.pbo the results were 2 data.pbo files one from F:\Flashpoint\Dta and the other from F:\Flashpoint\Dta\HWTL. The second one is the problem. Can I download this file or can I bypass it? My brother has the exact same computer as me and he uninstalled it a while ago i guess and when I tried to install it on his CPU (to see if my comp. was just messed up) it did the same thing. Hopefully this helps.
I then went to copy the files to my HD and I got a message saying: Error Copying File or Folder Cannot copy Data:Windows in unable to find the file. This item might have already been deleted or moved. Press F5 to refresh the view of this folder. |

Thanks soooo much for the help. I will probably end up calling codemasters for a replacement disc. Thanks a lot.
